Why take part in #SAIL2025?

In 2025, we will celebrate the 750th anniversary of our capital with the 10th edition of SAIL Amsterdam. Five days of fraternisation on and near the water. Participating in SAIL gives you the unique opportunity to experience SAIL up close: enjoy the atmosphere, the enthusiasm of visitors and meet other participants. An unforgettable experience you won't find anywhere else, memories guaranteed for life!

What criteria must my ship meet?

  • At least 50 years old
  • Registered in the Register Varend Erfgoed Nederland
  • Affiliated to a conservation organisation falling under the Federatie Varend Erfgoed Nederland
  • There is a current RVEN pass on board
  • An authentic and historic appearance that contributes to the nautical decor of SAIL
  • Replicas, accurate reconstructions of ships that no longer exist, are also welcome to join the fleet

Registration and selection

The organisers of SAIL 2025 determine the allocation of berths and reserve the right to refuse applications. In exceptional cases, a ‘wildcard’ may be granted to ships that do not fully meet the criteria. No correspondence will be entered into regarding rejections or exceptions.
