In 2025, we will celebrate the 750th anniversary of our capital with the tenth edition of SAIL Amsterdam! Ships, crews and visitors from all over the world will arrive on August 20-24 to celebrate nautical history and diverse cultures. From international Tall Ships to charming salon boats and from naval vessels to the Dutch Fleet. The ships of #SAIL2025 tell stories of adventure, tradition and connection. De Helena

1. Helena

The Helena is one of the oldest Dutch ships, built in 1875. This traditional sailing ship is still completely in its original state, which can be seen in the many beautiful details on the upper and lower decks.

Did you know that: the Atlantis was built in 1905 as a lightship. This is a beacon on the high seas and can be found where there should be a lighthouse, but its construction is not possible.
