Amsterdam, 22 October 2024 - SAIL and Booking.com are joining forces ahead of the upcoming anniversary edition in 2025. As Travel & Accommodation Partner, Booking.com plays a crucial role in connecting nationalities and cultures in the birthday capital. Together, we welcome millions of (inter)national visitors during the largest freely accessible event in the Netherlands. 

In 2025, SAIL will celebrate a triple anniversary: the 10th edition, 50 years of SAIL and Amsterdam's 750th anniversary. The Booking.com headquarters, located on the IJ -right in the heart of the SAIL site- will open its doors in the coming year as a meeting place for young people from the SAIL Academy. Here, these young people will be able to develop their skills and talents and orientate themselves towards the job market. 

 As Travel & Accommodation partner of SAIL Amsterdam 2025 Booking.com is looking forward to five days full of connection and inspiration on and near the water. Together with all these other SAIL partners, they will ensure an unforgettable anniversary!

 

Connecting triple anniversary
#SAIL2025 (20-24 August 2025) has an extra festive touch as the capital also celebrates its 750th anniversary. In 1975, SAIL was organised for the first time in honour of the capital's 700th anniversary. So in 2025, it will be party time again: 750 years of Amsterdam and 50 years of SAIL. But that's not all! In 2020, SAIL could not take place due to the pandemic, so the 10th anniversary edition was moved forward to 2025: a triple celebration and a unique moment to welcome ships, crew members and visitors from all corners of the world. Five days of fraternisation on and around the water. Previously, Heineken, Heren2, KPN, Sligro, Tommy Hilfiger and Statiegeld Nederland came on board for the upcoming anniversary edition.
