Immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere of SAIL aboard a luxurious salon boat, charming passenger ship, or small luxury sailing vessel. Embark with your guests from the specially prepared harbor within walking distance of Amsterdam Central Station, easily accessible by public transport. From here, sail directly into the Oranjehaven (IJhaven) to admire the nautical scenery among hundreds of ships, boats, and sloops.

On the final day of SAIL 2025, the impressive Tall Ships depart from Amsterdam's harbor. During this closing ceremony, thousands of fans bid farewell to the ships and their crews. Crews ascend the masts, creating a spectacular sight with colorful flags and pennants. Accompany the ships during this spectacular departure aboard one of the official SAIL vessels.

Program

Date: 24th August 2025

1:30 PM

Gather at the reception venue. Upon arrival, coffee and tea will be served.

2:00 PM

The ship is docked and ready at the pier. The skipper and crew warmly welcome you and your guests aboard. The ship departs towards the IJ-haven and waits there as the Tall Ships pass through the bridge one by one.

4:00 PM

While watching, enjoy various snacks and refreshments.

5:00 PM

Once the Tall Ships have passed through the bridge, they depart in a parade towards IJmuiden. Together with thousands of people on the quay and hundreds of boats on the water, we bid farewell to the ships.

5:30 PM

The captain safely docks the boat back at the reception venue. The crew bids farewell to the group. This day will be remembered and talked about for a long time. An experience not to be forgotten!
