Information

On board a Dutch Tall Ship, (luxury) traditional sailing vessel, or executive ship, you experience SAIL up close! You and your guests are warmly welcomed at one of our SAIL Villages, specially designed reception venues in the Western Harbour Area. Guided by a hostess, we escort you to the ship exclusively booked for your group, where the captain and crew warmly welcome you.

Tall Ships are moored in full splendor in the Oranjehaven (IJ-haven) and along the northern shores of the IJ. The crews impress in their magnificent uniforms, proudly representing their origins. Sounds from all the festivities on the quayside drift across the water. It's a grand nautical celebration. Together with your guests, you experience SAIL up close from the water.

Program

Date: 21st, 23rd & 24th August 2025

11:00 AM

Gathering at SAIL Village with coffee and tea. Guests check in at the desk reserved specifically for your company.

12:00 PM

The captain personally welcomes you aboard your reserved ship. Together with all official SAIL vessels, you sail towards the Tall Ships in the Oranjehaven (IJ-haven). Meanwhile, coffee & tea are served.

1:30 PM

During the journey, enjoy an extensive lunch. On and around the ships, there are various demonstrations and activities that you can view from the water. In the afternoon, appetizers will also be served.

5:00 PM

The captain docks at SAIL Village and bids farewell to you and your party. An unforgettable, inspiring, and connecting experience!

  • Depending on the exact boarding time, the start of the arrangement may be half an hour earlier or later than indicated above.
