Story

Rupel

Racing

This Two-mast Gaff schooner was built in the early 90s as a project for job seekers in the province of Flanders. The total construction took five years and the ship became a symbol of hope, willpower and cooperation in an environment of great unemployment.

The ship is now owned by the t-group that made it its flagship. The organization gladly makes its ship available for sailing trips, teambuilding, educational and / or cultural purposes. Projects with a social character are certainly eligible. As a sail training ship she is now a trusted guest at Sailevenementen!

She previously participated in many Tall Ships Races, but also at the Heineken Race of the Classics 2003/2004 and the Cutty Sark Races 1998 and 2001. The Rupel is proud to be present at SAIL Amsterdam 2015.
