Story
Morgenster
Robust en original
The clipper brig ‘Morgenster’ is a square rigged two-master with a steel hull. She entered service in 1919 as a sailing herring lugger and now lives her second life as a sailing training ship.
In 2008 she came into service as a sailing training ship.
The clipperbrik has been designed and converted by Harry Muter. The inspiration came from the American brig, who quickly, agile and independent, made an important contribution to the independence of the United States. And after this success, to the Caribbean piracy and the now illegal slave trade.
