The expedition begins by exploring the challenges facing modern cities. Major urban issues such as climate change, mobility, and social inclusion are scrutinized. SAIL Amsterdam's partners bring together their expertise, innovative ideas, and technological ingenuity to find creative solutions to these complex problems.

Sail Lab
In the SAIL Lab, a new form of education, the Living Lab, is utilized to examine and test issues and problems of partners in society. Here, young people from different educational levels and backgrounds collaborate to conduct interdisciplinary and multilevel research. Students are given the opportunity to develop teamwork skills and establish professional relationships while the project is tested in society. By collaborating with other educational institutions, students learn how to work on societal issues in an intercultural context. This helps them develop skills to bring parties together to solve societal problems.
In the SAIL Lab, young people have the opportunity to explore new future paths that they can incorporate into their professional careers. In the research within the SAIL Lab, students use the research method "Positive Provocations," which is being tested by Hogeschool Inholland among others through the SAIL Lab.
