Information

On board a Dutch Tall Ship, (luxury) traditional sailing vessel, or executive ship, you'll experience SAIL up close! You and your guests will be warmly welcomed at one of our SAIL Villages, specially arranged reception venues in the Western Harbor District. Guided by a hostess, we'll take you to the ship booked exclusively for your party, where the captain and crew will warmly greet you.

A unique moment awaits: the lock gates at IJmuiden open, the Tall Ships prepare for the SAIL-In parade towards Amsterdam. These ships from around the world, along with Dutch sailing heritage, thousands of boats on the water, and hundreds of thousands of people on the quays, create a breathtaking backdrop. Be part of this spectacular parade on board one of the official SAIL ships.

Program

Date: 20th August 2025

7:30 AM

Gather at SAIL Village. Guests check in at the counter reserved specifically for your company. Coffee and tea will be available upon arrival.

8:30 AM

The captain personally welcomes you aboard your reserved ship. During breakfast, the ship sets sail towards IJmuiden to meet the Tall Ships.

12:00 PM

While hundreds of thousands of enthusiasts gather along both banks of the North Sea Canal, an extensive lunch is served on board.

1:30 PM

The Tall Ships sail together with all ships towards Amsterdam in a long parade. Afternoon snacks will be served on board.

3:00 PM

The captain docks at SAIL Village and bids farewell to you and your party. An unforgettable, inspiring, and connecting experience!
